The White’s Chapel Cemetery is one of the oldest surviving landmarks on modern-day Southlake, Texas. It is located at
the Southeast corner of the intersection of Southlake Boulevard (FM 1709) and White’s Chapel Road. The cemetery
was first established in 1872 with the burial of Amy A. Marr. Her gravestone is the oldest readable stone in the
cemetery. The cemetery’s pioneer with the earliest readable birth date on her headstone is Mrs. E. B. Torian. She was
born in Halifax County Virginia on August 6, 1796 and was buried March 27, 1886.
